Galuh Cempaka Lake in Banjarbaru City, South Kalimantan Province - Indonesia
For the next holiday, tourists should consider visiting Banjar Baru City. It is the home of a serene lake called Galuh Cempaka. The location is in Purnawirawan Village and it belongs to Cempaka Sub-District. This beautiful lake helps tourists to relieve stresses and take some good pictures of nature. Perhaps the best attraction that people can enjoy on the location is the sunset! Some tourists also come to the lake for a family recreation, actually. The lake opens for the public, but visitors should pay the entrance fee first before exploring the lake.
The Nuance
Here is the question. What makes the lake special? The most interesting feature is the waves or current. Unlike other lakes (which have a calm surface of the water), Galuh Cempaka features wavy water surface looking like the beach. It is because the wind is quite strong there. As mentioned before, the lake is famous for its sunset view. Thus, the best time to visit the site is in the afternoon. Another impressive feature is the presence of Klotok (traditional boats) and inflatable boats for tourists to rent. Have no worries. The price is cheap.
Exploring Galuh Cempaka Lake
In terms of accessibility, it is easy to get to the lake. Not to mention the route is well-built, so tourists can reach the location comfortably. Once arriving at the guard post, visitors should pay the entrance fee and park their vehicle. From there, it takes only 500 meters of walking to reach the lake. No worries. The soft-textured sand makes such small trip comfortable. The wind is strong and the weather is nice, as well. Tourists would be astonished by the lake once they get near to it later.
At a glance, Galuh Cempaka Lake looks like Caramin Lake. The only thing that makes it different is the clarity of the water. This one is a little bit murky, as compared to Caramin. Thus, it is not recommended to swim in it. Instead, tourists can simply witness the beauty of the lake from afar and take pictures of it. As mention before, the most recommended time to visit the lake is during the sunset. The sun looks soothing and romantic at that time, after all.
Another interesting allure of Galuh Cempaka Lake is the presence of Klotok service. This way, tourists can rent the traditional boat and get around the lake to their heart’s content. As an alternative, they can ride a tour train and explore it from the lakeside. It is fun and memorable, so make sure to come with families later.
